In lieu of recent events and to maintain the safety of our healthcare community, the Board of Directors and Conference Planning Committee will be transitioning our in-person event at Chateau Lake Louise, to a completely virtual format. Our focus to deliver a high quality, evidence-informed and diverse event to improve pain management strategies remains our primary objective. To advocate for continuing professional development opportunities for all health care providers in Alberta and beyond, the Board of Directors and Conference Planning Committee has also decided to offer the entire 2020 Conference for free.

The PEIP Conference highlights clinically relevant primary care topics that combine evidence, experience, and patient values and is free of industry bias. The Conference is a fully accessible via webcast with limited in-person seating. This multidisciplinary event showcases relevant, evidence-based, and thought-provoking topics in health care.
• nov 6-8, 2020 -CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF NURSES IN ONCOLOGY VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone on many fronts…emotionally, financially, and professionally. This year’s conference theme “Now and Forever Oncology Nursing” highlights both the importance and longevity of our specialty in cancer patient care. 2020 also has been declared the “Year of the Nurse and the Midwife” by the World Health Organization. It has never been more important to come together as a profession to support each other and celebrate oncology nursing.

The Nurse Practitioner Association of Nova Scotia (NPANS) in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) are excited to be hosting the 11th ICN Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nursing Network Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 2021. The conference is one of the largest international conferences on advanced practice nursing. With more than 1,000 advanced practice nurses such as nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives, and nurse consultants, along with researchers, educators, administrators, policy makers and students expected to attend.
